SPECIFIC FUNCTION

A. Formulates plans and policies relative to the implementation of laws, rules and regulations in the AFP;

B. Develops policies, plans and programs and exercises supervision in the proper administration of the military detainees, prisoners of war confined in military detention facilities to include military stockades, hospitals, prisoners ward and disciplinary barracks maintained committed by military personnel of the AFP and to provide guidance and assistance in these matters;

C. Receives complaints and investigates cases involving offenses against person and property, disturbance of peace and public order, vehicular accidents, traffic violations and other offenses vis–a–vis military laws and regulations committed by military personnel of the AFP;

D. Coordinates and establishes liaison with other police agencies in the collection and exchanges of information vital to the enforcement efforts of laws and regulations and to the expeditious solutions of cases under investigation;

E. Establishes and maintains updated and orderly centralized records of all AFP vehicles and to render periodic reports of said vehicles to the higher authorities;

F. Conducts studies and researches on AFP regulations, policies, circulars, SOP directives and memoranda relative to discipline, law and order and to recommend amendment, revision and updating;

G. Compiles statistical and miscellaneous reference data on the AFP–wide disciplinary cases and to render assessment and periodic reports thereof; and

H. Issues alarm and make appropriate coordination and liaison for the apprehension of individual wanted and escaped military personnel.
